I am born again of HIS spirit. Selah.
Brother I understand that and praise God you know Jesus Christ, without His blood we would all be destined for destruction. I’m born again daily as well. But you have to admit there are many folks who are at odds with each other on what it means to be born again, all claiming inspiration from Gods word correct? I just thought you could clarify what denomination you belong to so we could have a fruitful discussion. I think any reservation of yours to do so shows some insecuriy in your position agreed? God bless you brother.

I pledge no allegiance to denominations… I believe the bible is the 100% infallable word of the MOST HIGH… I was baptized in the holy spirit… praise HIM for that.

aside from this truth I owe you nothing in terms of pledging allegiance to an earthly orginization. I am a member of HIS body and hope you are as well.

I don’t need to… this is the holy spirit’s job… believe truth if you want to… I am not responsible for your path… I only spread truth as I learn it. and, amidst our discussions I discover further insight.

those who believe they have all the answer already will remain decived. those who are willing to learn and continually ask, seek and knock - to these the doors to truth will be opened.

i appreciate the part each of you play in my progress.

Glory HalleluYAH.
The Holy Spirit gets blamed for a lot of stuff around here. We can all lay claim to the Holy Spirit’s assistance in discerning the truth from the lie, but what makes your Holy Spirit better than the Catholic Church’s Holy Spirit? 🙂

This article will be of interest in this regard:

Yes, the saints who are alive and in HIM are seated at the right hand. When we die our bodies lie dead, our souls got to hades, and our spirit (if we are born again) goes back to Father.

FYI… the “great cloud of witnesses” you referred to are those listed in the beginning of Heb 11… they are “witnesses” to the idea of faith.
Are you speaking the theology of a protester? Is that Calvin or Luther? Its irrelevant because its of ONE man and contrary to what the Pillar and Foundation of Truth 1Tim 3:15 and Jesus.

This final dogma of the Church of Christ is what happens infallably when you die:

XVI. The Last Things

In the present order of salvation, death is a punishment for sin.
All human beings subject to original sin are subject to the law of death.

The souls of the just which in the moment of death are free from all guilt of sin and punishment for sin, enter into Heaven.

The bliss of Heaven lasts for all eternity.

The degree of perfection of the Beatific Vision granted to the just is proportioned to each one’s merit.

The souls of those who die in the condition of personal grievous sin enter hell.

The punishment of hell lasts for all eternity.

The souls of the just which, in the moment of death, are burdened with venial sins or temporal punishment due to sins, enter purgatory.

At the end of the world Christ will come again in glory to pronounce judgement.

All the dead will rise again on the last day with their bodies.
The dead will rise again with the same bodies as they had on earth.

Christ, on his second coming, will judge all men.

If you need more a dissertation try looking up the word death or ESCHATOLOGY in the CCC here: scborromeo.org/ccc/ccc_toc.htm

or the Holy See site here:
vatican.va/phome_en.htm

or the Catholic Encyclopedia site here:

Does that move you to the truth?

Alright then, what congregation are you a part of? Even non denominationl churches have affiliations with something, Assemblies Of God and so on. I think it’s to easy to be evasive without some type of background. If you are saying you are a part of His body, I’m assuming you believe you are in the correct church? The bible makes no destinction between the church and the believers, they cannot be seperate. HIS BODY is THE CHURCH amen? There is ONE faith, ONE baptism, One church, ONE body, One Lord and God overall. So I am assuming since you are a member of His body you are Catholic?

Peace of Christ to you,

Rev 5:13 proves you wrong and the Church right.
Revelation 5:13 occurs before the tribulation… the prayers referred to here come from the beings in heaven and on earth.

Revelation 5 refers to the 24 elders presenting the prayers of those on earth before the throne.

You said the saints in heaven cannot hear us. Rev. 5 proves that your statement is incorrect.

Are the elders not among the saints?
No, they are not.

The bible does not make it emphatically clear (not to say the answer it nowhere to be found within the holy text) on whom the 24 elders are. Some say seraphim/cherubim, some say they are of the divine council of elohim spoke of throughout the OT and NT, others say the represent the believers of all times. However, they are not the risen saints as the resurrection to heaven has yet to take place, and the scene depicted in Rev 5 is in heaven.

OK, we have demonstrated that those in heaven can hear us, and your position is that there are no humans in heaven. I suppose that’s some sort of progress.

Ok…

Body Dead.

Soul in Hades

Spirit “goes back to the father”.

Is that Heaven or is that another place all together?

So which condition will you be in at that point? All three at the same time or do we all just cease to exist until the resurrection?

Chuck

Do the re~search… it’ all in the book. 😉

Really?

So you’ve sat down with a bible and figured it all out all by yourself?

No outside sources in your interpretation what so ever?

If so that would be both unique and explain quite alot I think.

Looks like your theology is at odds with what even the bible teaches. The Bible clearly says that the Church is the PILLAR AND FOUNDATION, of truth.
1 Tim 3:15
But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth.
Oh, and your bible alone theology is at odds with how the Early Christians believed as well.

The saints do hear us, loud and clear.

Check out the book of Job 42: 7-11.

Just as the Eliphaz and his two friends had to ask for the INTERCESSION of Job to obtain pardon for their sins, it was ONLY through Jobs cooperation in his FREE WILL that moved God to save those men.

I asked people on this particular forum about how “Love” could be stopped when one goes to Heaven. What is it about love that once you go to Heaven, God won’t let you help others to be holy or to know God?

I didn’t get much responses.

No, they are not. (referring to the elders in Revelation)
is this your opinion or is it shared by Christians across the ages? How did you arrive at this conclusion? What sort of process do you go through in order to arrive at the correct interpretation? Is it possible, that if I claim to be led by the spirit, but arrive at a different interpretation, that both can be correct?

I have used many outside sources… but I always check the bible on their points and quotations…

In fact, all of you on this forum today have played a vital role in my consecration unto the Father in Christ… your questions, quotes etc. have spurred me on to re~search. thank you. 🙂

I am a piece of this pillar you speak of. 🙂
