How do the Saints “feel” when our prayers aren’t answered?

This has been something I have been thinking about recently. I have been praying consistently for healing from an illness and particularly the chronic pain it causes. I have asked for the intercession of many saints including my grandparents who I hope and pray are in Heaven.

My question is how do those saints feel when our prayers aren’t answered by God? I understand they feel pure happiness in Heaven but is that all they feel? Can they see God’s plan for us and does that stop them feeling any sense of sorrow for us? But if they see God’s plan why would they bother interceding for us in the first place?

Apologies in advance if this is a stupid topic as I’ve never had much teaching on Catholic theology.

The Saints see the big picture, they are outside of time and know what God’s plan is for our sanctification.

You probably mean when our prayers aren’t answered according to our wants. Prayers are always answered according to God’s will - not ours. We think we know what is best or even His will, but in reality, only God knows His will. I would think that saints would intercede asking for God’s will to be accomplished for our prayer - not merely mimic what we are asking for.

The saints are in Heaven and see God face to face. Which means they are fully aligned with His Will. They would not feel any disappointment if that’s what you are getting at.
