The process is called “discernment.” You have to seek out what God is calling you to. Sometimes it’s more obvious than others.

It is a process that involves prayer and also listening. Just as much as you ask the Lord to speak to you, you must also listen to Him. Time in silent meditation in front of the Blessed Sacrament is very conducive to that.
