Are there more ways to do so?
If yes, which?
If yes, which?
I left the Catholic Church during my college years. At first I felt unchained. For the next several years I wandered from one idol, one deception, one philosophy to another not knowing where to turn. Various events in my life brought with them a despondency, and I began a search for Truth (yes, with a capital “T”). I wondered if there really was one all-encompassing Truth covering all moral-ethical issues and all people of all cultures. I felt drawn to read various books both philosophy and theology. But it was beauty that converted me. I started to look at the world in a different lens, so to speak after the birth of my first beautiful child. I separated myself from the technology of the day and inadvertantly found myself on a retreat. Pushing a stroller, the beauty of the seasons pointed to the Creator although I didn’t get any further than belief in the idea of a Supreme Being. It wasn’t until a few years later after picking up a bible and reading the four gospels, one after the other, that I found God in Jesus. I continued to read the bible and other books and finally went to a prayer group where I was baptized in the Spirit. Little by little I came to understand that Truth, Beauty, Goodness and Justice were the same, from the same source, that God is the center, source and summit of my life and every person He created. Anyhow . . . that’s how I arrived at Truth. God says that when you seek Me with all of your heart, you will find me. (Jeremiah 29:13)Are there more ways to do so?
