From the article:*Papism indeed is the most radical Protestantism, because it has transferred the foundation of Christianity from the eternal God-Man to ephemeral man.*The author of the article does not even understand the nature of Christ revealing all truth through the Pope and His Church through succession. When you have a false premise that basic, the chaos theory will ensue from that point forward, and get farther and farther from the truth…

I read the first paragraph and it was so divorced from the reality of the Catholic Church and from Church teaching that I just stopped reading. Do Orthodox actually believe this stuff?

How do we deal with something like this? Easy!

The primacy of Peter is the power of jurisdiction - not simply directive authority or of excellence or of honor - conferred by Jesus Christ on the Prince of the Apostles, by force of which he became supreme head and ruler of the whole Church.

Vatican I, defining this point of doctrine, merely interpreted authentically the words of Christ, whose historicity is admitted even by rationalists.

The primacy of Peter is insinuated in the changing of his name, PROMISED in the colloquy at Cesarea Philippi, CONFERRED after the resurrection on the banks of the Lake of Tiberias, and EXERCISED in the nascent Church.
