How do we handle Mass Attendance while traveling?

Hi,

New to the Faith, and new to Catholicism. I am wondering about church attendance? My wife and I at times plan vacations and road trips with our kids on the weekends. I also like to go backpacking several days that can go until Monday sometimes. What is the stance on the Church on skipping Mass? I feel guilty doing so, but I’m wondering what other parents or backpackers do?
