My wife joined the Catholic Church two years ago and loves it with all her heart.
Her parents are not Catholic, but good God loving Christians. Her Mothers health has declined and can not attend church. She has been opened and loving with my wife becoming Catholic. My wife is now a Eucharistic Minister and her Mom became very upset that her daughter can not bring her the Eucharist. My wife explain to her, but the desire to receive is very strong. How would a priest handle this?

Hi,

I’m a priest and I would tell her that such a strong desire for the Eucharist is a Catholic thing. Perhaps she is desiring to become a Catholic and doesn’t realize it yet. Most non-Catholic Christians don’t hunger for it the way she is.Even if she is advanced in age, special instructions could be arranged. She is in our prayers.
