it there were a body, Jews would be the first ones to have found it šŸ˜‰
That’s an excellent point - one I had never thought of. If there had been a body, where could they have hidden it that it would NEVER have been found?

Thanks for that.

testimony of hundreds of witnesses who saw him, spoke with him, touched him, ate with him, learned from him, in the period between the Resurrection and his ascent into heaven.
Hi

This is a very generalized statement; providing no list of persons specifically witnessing the event. Perhaps it never happened. This is what I believe; others may differ with reasons.

Thanks

You can’t prove it using the tools of history because there is no independent corroborating evidence for it and it was only reported by ā€œinsidersā€. And, there are no resurrection stories at all, only vague and contradictory appearance stories.

It is a matter of faith, and the faith of millions is the proof.

If the greatest event in human ā€œhistoryā€ could be verified in any reasonable way, it would certainly be mentioned in every history text.
Hi

In my opinion; a faith of millions can never become a proof of anything.

That which cannot be proved from the history, might be a myth only.

You are welcome to differ with me . This is what I believe.

Thanks

paar,

How do you support your claims that Jesus never died on the cross?

I know he rose from the dead because I know him.

Either I’m telling the truth or I am mentally ill. You decide.
Hi

About illness either you know or you physician. There is a difference betwee a faith and a myth. How you differentiate one from the other? I think you should concentrate on that.

Please don’t mind; this is a freindly discussion.

Thanks

Jesus said he would die than rise on the third day. (Matthew 17:22-23, 20:17-19, 26:1-2, John 2:19, 10:17-18)

Now, are you calling Jesus a liar?

When we discuss religious concepts and beliefs we must be careful not to impose our own understanding upon others. Just because someone does not believe in a physical resurrection doesn’t mean they are ā€œcalling Jesus a liarā€ā€¦they disagree with the personal belief being stated since we have no written record of anything written by Jesus of Nazareth…or when someone claims to ā€œknow himā€ so that is proof of a physical resurrection, we are put in a position where if we disagree we are calling that person ā€œinsaneā€ or demented for claiming that his experience isn’t ours.

Many of ā€œourā€ hasty responses and challenges of others understanding becomes personal and often times seeking to ā€˜prove’ ones belief in the Prince of Peace, the One who calls us to be kind to one another and love one another seems to be forgotten. IF there is any ā€œproofā€ it is in the ā€œchangeā€ that such a relationship with the Eternal makes on an individual…if those qualities we are called to share in…the Divine Nature…are lacking…perhaps we need to step back and examine how deep and ā€œrealā€ that ā€œrelationshipā€ we claim truly is.

Just a thought.

All the Apostles of course !

They were all executed for proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus. Would you die for a lie ??

Remember, they all left Jesus when He was crucified. They once were really scared of persecution. But what happened to make them so courageous in the face of death afterward ?

You neither prove nor disprove His resurrection. All you have is the word of the witnesses and it not just any witnesses. They died to prove the truth.

You’re a Muslim. What do you based your faith on?

Certainly not as many witnesses as the Apostles and your founder didn’t die for the faith.

The situation claimed by your founder is NOT unlike other religious founder, which is based on 1 man only.

If I were to choose a religion, I would choose the one that has more credentials for believing.

We Christians are not blind believers after all !

The same can be said of Islam.

Uh, no. The Resurrection is a historic event. The Gospels are historic documents. Jesus saying he would die than rise again is a fact, written down. It’s not a personal belief. And no, we don’t need any writings of Jesus since we have the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

paar,

How do you support your claims that Jesus never died on the cross?
Hi

That is a good question. JesusYeshuaIssa said that he would show no sign to the adulterous Jews accept the Sign of Jonah. Kindly read the real story of Jonah in the OTBible to refresh your memory about him.
  1. Jonah went in the belly of the fish alive.
  2. Jonah was alive in the belly of the fish; that is why he prayed there and his prayer was heard by GodAllahYHWH.
  3. Jonah came out of the fish alive; Jonah did not die for even a moment during this entire episode.
  4. Jonah went to the city he was appointed as a MessengerProphet of GodAllahYHWH.
  5. Jonah was accepted by the people he was sent.
JesusYeshuaIssa, we believe, showed this last, his greatest and wonderful sign; then he should have never died on the Cross though he was nailed down and iflicted with injuries on the cross, yet he was delivered near-dead but very much alive. He was treated in the tomb where he was laid and when he gained consciousness and recovered from the injuries he came out and was seen by so many.

To prove and believe that JesusYeshuaIssa was a truthful person and not a fake, as Jews held, we cannot deny that he never died a cursed death on the Cross.

Thanks

From the point that the Messiah must be immortal, this makes sense. But the fact is, Jesus died. Blood and water came out of his side.

Aside from faith? Acts was written in part to show the works of the Holy Spirit, which is proof of Christ’s resurrection.

Hi

There is no need to use such strong words. The anonymous Gosple writers simply could not, in my opinion, understand the intricacies of the event, so they made their perceptions wrong, after all they were human beings, they could make mistakes. They made mistakes in Jesus presence before the event of Crucifixion as you know, so there was nothing unusual making mistakes after the event of Crucifixion.

Thanks
Dear Paar,

The other possibility is your ProphetMessenger got the wrong message, made the wrong analysis, and made a wrong conclusion. There was no such proof of Jesus ever live in India, except what you called it from your ProphetMessenger. No other or at least just a few minor scientist ever concluded that Jesus made His way to India, except your ProphetMessenger. You have not even given me any proof that your Quran predicted the incoming of the last ProphetMessenger, except your ProphetMessenger. So, your conclusion, at best cannot be objective, my brother.

Dear Paar,

I think you should make a poll. Do you believe that Jonah **ā€œliterallyā€**went to the belly of a gigantic fish (perhaps even bigger than whales) and survive after staying there in 3 days?? Perhaps the body odor of Jonah was so bad that the giant fish got a hiccup and vomited Jonah out.šŸ™‚

By the way, I highlighted your own word claiming that Jesus was treated while He was laid in the tomb. My question is who treated Jesus while the tomb was guarded by roman soldiers under order of Pilate, suggested by the high priest? It is highly possible that the high priest spread some spies to watch for the movement of Jesus deciples. Giving the sentiment against Jesus at that time, many people were in great hatred toward the deciples of Jesus.

Although I believe that nothing is impossible for God, it does not have to be literally true for the story of Jonah for me to understand what God really means.

Hi

I think there were not many persons who witnessed the resurrection. Jesus never died on the Cross, only seriously injured on the Cross, so there was no question of any resurrection, in my opinion. Jesus only resussicated in the tomb, and what the anonymous gosple writers described was the same Jesus as before, with the wounds still fresh on his body. They mistook him as resurrected spirit. The spirits have no wounds and do not eat and drink.

Thanks
Dear Paar,

Then you can perhaps explain why Jesus challenge Thomas Didimus to put his HAND inside the side of Jesus where the Roman spear struck Him? I wonder how can a man living in the first century technology ever been able to live with a large opened wound in his body. Jesus also ask the deciples to bring him food for Him to eat. So, Jesus was not a spirit as you also believe, when He appeard to His deciples. BTW, it was Thomas who went to India, and was martyred there. I will get back to you about the time Thomas went to India. Dear Paar, it seems to me that your ProphetMessenger made the same mistakes as Muhammad, when these two men were grasping the true teaching of Christianity. I am not saying they are bad, I just conclude that both of them got the wrong source.

Dear Publisher,

You are correct. I agree with you. If there is a solid evidence w.r.t to human beings (undisputable by Paarsurrey) that Jesus was resurrected, there would be no religion in this world. No faith is needed. All we are discussing would be science.

No corpse.

It would have been in the best interests of the Jewish authorities of the time to have a body - any body to present to the people saying: ā€œSee! Here’s his body! He lied! He was mad. Nothing he said was true!ā€

As it is neither the Romans nor the Jewish authorities even tried to present Jesus’s corpse. Although, six-hundred and some odd years later a fella named Muhammed would came up with the lamest bait and switch story ever told.

So, no body, no contradiction from Jewish or Roman authorities and 500 eye witnessess… Yeah, Jesus resurrected just like the bible says he did.
