How do we know that the Bible isn't fictional?

Hello, I have a coworker who has said that she firmly believes that the bible is a work of fiction. What can I do to prove that the bible is, in fact, not a work of fiction? Where would I start to find evidence for my case? Thank you very much for your time and God bless!
