How do we know the Bible is the Word of God

I had a friend ask me how do we truely know the Bible is Truely the Word of God? She believes in God but kinda just believes that he left us here. I say well how would he expect us to do good if He didnt tell us how to do good and she says well its in our hearts. She is kinda also shaky on her belief in Jesus she was raised Catholic Baptized and Confirmed but has sorta fell away.

But what is a more concrete answer like how can we prove that the Apostles or like Moses for instance didnt make anything up. I believe they didnt for i can feel God’s Love at Mass and in the Eucharist and etc but how do i explain this to a nonbeliever???

What is it that she doesn’t believe about Jesus?
 
Ask* her *why she sides with Hitler, Stalin, Pol-pot, Mau, Sanger. They didn’t believe the Bible was the word of God either, and they “felt the goodness in their hearts” in what they were doing. You have to start asking her questions, you can’t save anyone, only the Holy Spirit can. You can point in the right direction and offer help when you can, and lead by example, and remind her that 12 simple jewish boys took down the Roman Empire.

Sometimes, no amount of argument or “proof” will convince a person. Faith is a gift. So, pray to God that He may give your friend the gift of faith. This is the best that you can do.

But if you just want to state one simple reason why you think the Bible is true, I’d put this: Most of the Apostles suffered martyrdom for their faith in Jesus. Why would they die for that faith if they only made it up? As for Moses, how could an entire nation be celebrating the exodus of the slaves out of Egypt if Moses only made that up?

I think that whoever has no faith also has a lot of explaining to do.
 
Because whether or not she chooses to believe they are true or not, she cannot deny one irrefutable fact.

In (or around) 0AD there lived a man who fundamentally shifted the entire world order, and 2,000 years later has a direct or indirect impact, not only on the 7 billion alive today, but the billions who have lived since Christ came.

It seems extremely unlikely it was someone else apart from Jesus, or someTHING else apart from Jesus, as though no historical record exists for this A N Other, there is quite a substantial amount of literature hanging about regarding a certain rather plucky Galilean.

Even atheists have a hard time getting round that one. Even if they dismiss the entire bible as twaddle (which is counter intuitive, as various figures from Solomon to Herod actually did exist), they still have to explain why, in a dusty, rather obscure part of the world two millennia ago, the entire world changed,
