Any scriptural basis?
Well, unless they are declared Saints by the Church, we don’t know the fate of any soul that has passed on. IF they are in heaven, however, there is reason to believe they, as Saints, are aware of us, and can hear us.Any scriptural basis?
The Apostles saw Jesus talking to Moses and Elijah.Any scriptural basis?
Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)Any scriptural basis?
It appears that the writer of Hebrews considered that we could be seen even now by a vast cloud of previously deceased witnesses who are now in heaven. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
I suppose this could be seen in another context, in that God sees it all. But it seems to go further than that, and it appears we’re going to have our whole life brought out into the open. Not a very comforting thought in my opinion. For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.
