How do we prove we have a permanent soul?

I just posted this on another thread and find it very appropriate for this one:

I have just completed reading a book about Shared Death Experience, in which many have shared the after-death experience with deceased persons. They have seen the dead person’s essence leave their bodies, have seen other beings or deceased relatives coming to get them, some have experienced/shared in their life reviews, have seen them begin a journey into another dimension, and some have actually traveled part-way up a “tunnel” with them and a few have even claimed to have glimpsed heaven as the deceased person entered.

This is more common than one would believe. The author of the book is a doctor himself and has interviewed numerous others–other doctors, hospice care workers, members of the deceased’s families–who have all experienced a deceased person’s actual death experience. These people now know there is a life after death – our soul/spirit/life force – whatever you want to call it–lives on and goes to another place.

How do we prove we have a permanent soul?

A claim made against such a soul is that we are constantly changing. Our appearance, our attitude, changes day to day. ‘Soul’ is no more than a bundle of sensations, emotions, sentiments, all relating to the physical experiences,

If our soul was permanent, our appearance and attitude would never change. It was permanently be the same.

Ho do we prove we have a permanent soul?
How can you prove you have a soul at all. You cannot. Jesus told us that we have a soul that will never die and be everlasting. A soul that even death cannot end. All we have is the word of God. That is the only proof we have.
