How do we reduce the amount of aggression in America?

I don’t know, but that is what the data shows. We are much more aware of the violence that does occur due to the changes in connectivity, media technology, and the 24 hour news channels. ‘If it bleeds, it leads’… local stories on violence quickly become national news filler in between more significant events.

But the actual trend has been downward.
Yes, violent crime is down overall, but the stats still show that we have a long way to go before we call America peaceful.

Well if thats accurate, then the bible and many things it taught, are wrong.

It is very clear to see how far the US is straying from Gods intended path for us, the bible tell us past civilizations were punished for this, usually in terrible ways, and progressively worse over time, but if the exact opposite is happening now, maybe we all have been wrong?

Same thing happens to people, when they stray from God or the bibles teachings, things do not get better in their lives, that would contradict God in a very big way.

Starting to wonder if something is majorly wrong…

It would be most interesting to know the stats on brotherly love. We may be more sinful in one domain, but we may make up for it in a different domain.

… I predict that multinational corporations will … educate and feed those in poverty, greatly enlarging the workforce worldwide… government will downsize, using corporations to police, deal with criminal correction and take over the military. I also see them as eventually running the world with justice and humanitarianism. .
Forgive me if I missed your sarcasm, :o I will take your post at face value.

Sounds like the world of Robocop. Which wasn’t so peaceful, nor prosperous.

I don’t get why you think enormous, international corporations can act Christian while governments have not/cannot. They’re both big groups controlled by a few people with power to take more power from the other people. History shows us that big international corps take advantage of people too.

Perhaps it’s the theory that a world-wide government, no borders, will be achieved for the first time, the stars will align, human nature will change, and peace will flow across the land while we all join hands and sing in perfect harmony (musically and otherwise).

That will just make it easier for fewer people to control more people. Which will cause more injustice and oppression and more misery, and therefore more violence - even if that violence is only done by the corporate policeman behind closed doors against totally powerless people.

Only the spread of Christianity will yield justice and peace.

And also, about aggression… I think elimination of wrong actions is more important than trying to eliminate aggression. The word has positive meanings too. To put great energy into a pursuit. Saying you want to eliminate aggression, is like saying you want to neuter everyone into a passive beach bum. Lots of babies would starve.

I think that large, multinational corporations are going to be the ultimate result from capitalism that we have in place today. It’s all competition at any price. Big companies eating up all the smaller companies. That’s what has been happening, and I predict it will continue. But I also have faith that when corporations run the world, it will be in everybody’s best interest to feed, house and educate those living in poverty in order to increase the world’s workforce. I also believe that justice and humanitarianism will become a corporate priority based on decisions made in think tanks composed of professionals from the social sciences. Again, having a humane world will be seen as being in everybody’s best interest. No more competition! Pious Jews, I suspect, will run the show, as stated in the Bible!

I believe it’s the glorification of violence that contributes worse to the problem. We live in a country where an act of love between two characters can’t be shown on television, but someone can blow someone’s brains out (with the splatter effect) no problem. A female orgasm is an automatic R rating, but gratuitous violence gets a PG-13.

I mean, neither is appropriate in certain circumstances, but I think that the pass violence gets is indicative of a problem in our culture.

Well, if you think about it, if they truly wanted to ‘desensitize’ everyone, starting young, why would they even rate movies the way they do? Wouldnt this be counterproductive to their agenda?

Some agency giving a movie an R rating, means someone had the impression there were things in that movie, younger people should NOT see…this still happens in our times?! Especially considering the very obvious agenda to desensitize young kids to nearly everything, sex, greed, lust, etc etc.

Im truly amazed more people have not called for an end to giving movies ratings, that way, they can bombard as many kids as they like with any kind of morals/ values they want.
