How do women feel about chivalrious men?

Maybe because it’s backward and goes against the natural order of things.

Or maybe because there is a theological connection. God pursued Israel, not the other way around. It makes sense then that the man should pursue the woman. 😛 🙂

Yes in some cases but in some cases the woman should pursue the man! 🙂 😃
 
Its quite true that there are some cases that a woman should pursue (or be forward with) a man.
But sometimes the man just simply WANTS to pursue. And the woman simply WANTS to be pursued.

Human nature, perhaps?
 
One of my best friends is very traditional about how he treats girls (I never have to walk by myself at night, get the door, or even pay for coffee if I’m with him) and he even said that he’ll propose to the girl but he wants her to be the first to bring up marriage:) His point is, yes, guys should be chivalrous but it should be a two way street. Why should the man have to do everything?

I don’t think it should be a one way street either. But there are somethings the guy should do and others that the girl should do…and sometimes either/or.

🙂 . I guess that means that knights that have shining armor, who ride on white horses and have pure hearts do exist after all…the Lord (and those who follow him). The shining armor being their faith, their white horses of hope and their pure hearts of love.

Hello Calliso. In my day and age centuries ago, “nice girls” didn’t call boys, ask them for dates, and Golly Gee, we would never have asked a man to marry us. Just the way I was raised. For other answers, you’ll have to get other (name removed by moderator)ut.😉
 
Standing at the bus stop tonight reminded me of one of the most chivalrous men I have met.

I was standing at the same bus stop about a year ago at about the same time (8pm on a Friday night) when a man my age (50’s) started making a pest of himself to me.

There were other people at the stop so there wasn’t real danger but I was pleased when a guy in his 20’s or 30’s came and stood between the guy and me until my bus came.
