How do women feel about chivalrious men?

funny you should say that
A friend of mine, who just happens to be a girl, asked me if I wanted to do something. We’re just going out as friends (she owes me some helping picking out new clothes, lol) but I’m still treating her to lunch.
Her bringing it up and asking was cool with me, but I’m still paying darn it! And no one can convince me otherwise!! 😃
Hah, hehe. Of course you pay.

Well, seriously, as for a woman asking a man out, there are some reasons why it might be demeaning for a woman to ask a man out, but none of them is that a man is an inferior creature - and that’s the idea that some women and some men, too, have. Men should be reverent, but they should not be apologetic. 😉 Not saying you are. Just caught a ranting bait. 😉

Hey hey hey!

I clean my own toilets. In fact, I do my own laundry, clean my own home, and I constatly take care of my younger siblings!!

I intend to help my wife with her housework etc.
The least she can do is be a little more forward at the moment…😉

I guess in my honest opinion, chivalry should continue even into marriage.
If it were up to me, my wife would just enjoy herself all day.
Hey, hey, hey Belgarion. You are in the right training program. I’d like to meet your parents.👍

Forgot to add yesterday that in my experience women only normally like genuine displays of good manners or kindness. They don’t really like pretence. I have to say I understand them. Of course, some don’t like any squiring, which is also somewhat understandable if they want to be so very independent. I remember one half-Spanish girl who physically prevented me from paying for her on one occasion. :rotfl:

so very independent? its seems like it should be so very up to her…just sayin’ 😉

I love them and don’t come across too many that aren’t. I’m in my mid-50’s and used to be a militant feminist in the 60’s-70’s, but finally got a grip.
I am around a lot of Italian men where I work and I love it when they call me “babe”. They always have the best manners. 😃

Sancta, stoppit. This mythical creature can only exist in movies 😉
I swear, he does exist! Though he admitted that his nonna (grandma) and cousins beat it into him when he was a little kid;)

If I have boys, I’m going to be the same as my friend’s nonna and cousins. They will be gentlemen!!

So true! And they’re very sweet. At least the ones I know anyway:blush:

Just had to pop back in and say, I think Belgarion’s future wife is a lucky lady! 😃 He’s chivalrous AND cleans toilets. What’s not to love?

…C’mon you’re making me blush:blush:
Besides, toilets aren’t that hard to clean, really.
And my parents deserve the credit anyways 🙂
