They claim if you watch it without lusting it is not a sin to watch others sin.
This is the same scripture that popped into my mind. For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline, think on these things.
The very same reason they read Playboy…for the “interesting articles”… The award winning story lines? PULEEEEZ !!
~ Kathy~What about people who are offended by seeing porn. The person is arguing that is proof one can look at porn without lusting. I disagree, but that is there argument. Also they use the example of detectives watching rape porn to better understand this crime.I believe this comes from the big guy himself…
It’s not possible to look on pornography without lusting. It’s the natural human reaction to seeing something like that.
Mt. 5:27-28
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Pornography is lust,
Lust is adultery.
Therefore, basic logical principles dictate:
Pornography is adultery.
Pornography is slavery. The truth frees. That freedom is true happiness, especially in this case. And by the grace of God, I can vouch for that.
LOLAnyone who would try to use an excuse as lame and dishonest as that one probably would not be convinced if you produced 1000 bible verses including one that said “Stop Watching Porn… it’s a Sin”.
Is he simply debating with you or is he trying to come up with excuses to watch porn? First, why would a person who finds porn offensive watch it? Second the detectives are probably not watching graphic rape tapes to get excited, so there is no sin. Is your friend a detective, if not why is he coming up with such odd rationals. What about people who are offended by seeing porn. This is actually coming from a she and I thought she was coming up with excuses but she’s claims she isn’t. She’s not a detective either. I find her reasoning very strange and she can’t understand why.Is he simply debating with you or is he trying to come up with excuses to watch porn?
