The sacrarium in our sacristy has become clogged; water will no longer drain into the ground. We don’t know why this happened except that possibly a couple years ago a lot of left over holy oils were poured down it. Maybe this caused a film that prevents absorbtion into the ground. We can’t easily look into it because it’s under the concrete floor of our church. Anyway, we wondered if it’s okay to put some kind of bacterial septic tank cleaner into the sacrarium. Maybe the bacterial action will remove any film or whatever is causing our problem.
