How do you consecrate yourself to the Blessed Virgin?

How do you consecrate yourself to the Blessed Virgin?

I’ve been reading some Catholic articles and things saints have said, and they talk about consecrating oneself. Almost as if there is some secret enrollment or prayer. Anyone know?
 
Most basically, have an intent to consecrate yourself to the Blessed Virgin. Beyond that, there are many programs to doing so (Montfort’s, Kolbe’s, etc.) of varying different extents. Saying a prayer of consecration and renewing it periodically suffices. This page contains both monthly renewals of consecration and a daily renewal of consecration: rosary-center.org/consecrt.htm.

Note that such a consecration carries no canonical standing and has no canonical form. It is far more an inward, private thing. It can indeed be as simple as saying three Hail Marys each morning and night in honour of the immaculate purity of the Blessed Virgin and saying when tempted “Jesus and Mary, help me, protect me.”
 
I read Fr. Michael Gaitley’s very helpful book call 33 Days to Morning Glory. If you read this book, Fr. Gaitley explains it very well. It is a great blessing!
 
One way simply pray to her…“Mary I entrust myself to you”.
 
Several of us did this at a Benedictine monastery many years ago. They advertised the requirements and asked
people to come to a Mass in their lower church on the dead of the Assumption.
I remember there were certain prayers, an offering, a candle to be blessed and other things.🤷

One may do so in any number of ways…

Including simply.

Like the others have said, there are many different ways that you can do this.

Not jumping…clarifying.

So persons do not think that the De Monfort way is the only way or the way it was done here or there is the only what. Thats all.

Of course - I should have said ‘a preparation.’ Didn’t mean to suggest there was only one way .
