How do You Count with Prayer Beads

I put this in “non-Catholic religions” because, while I am also asking Catholics, I am asking those of other religions as well. Do you, specifically, go right to left or left to right? Do you say your prayer and then go to the bead or do you to to the bead then say the prayer? I’m interested in specifically how you use them in such particulars.

I’m sorry if this seems odd, but I have wondered how others use their prayer beads in the little things.

I go left to right. My left hand is the one guiding the beads, so it makes sense to me. Also, bead then prayer.

Bead then prayer. Hold the bead while saying the prayer.
As for left or right, whichever hand I hold the beads in. It’s not the same hand all the time.

Left to right, bead which I hold to say the prayer and then I move to the next one.
