How do you deal with this?

I go to YouTube often and there are times when I clash with anti-Catholics (usually those who like to go around trolling their hate speech on the channels of Catholic YouTubers). Today however, I met this guy who really pushed my buttons way too far. No matter how many times I’ve refuted his statements all he does is continuously slander and profane the Roman Catholic Church on my channel and my patience is wearing thin. How do you deal with someone so steeped in their bigotry? :mad:

Welcome to CAF! Don’t let your patience run out on you. Just walk away and say a prayer for that person. We tend to have our own ego and pride and want to “win” an argument. I think if I remember it correctly, someone said that Bishop Fulton Sheen once said “If you win an argument, you lose a soul”.
 
Is there any way you can ban him? If there is, I’d explain to him that he will be banned if he keeps up with his garbage. Then stick to it.

I would’ve love to but then he and his best buddies then started rallying themselves and started calling me a coward when I tried.
 
The you tube comment section is nothing but a hodgepodge of nothingness. It is not moderated and is basically the equivalent of graffiti.

Just ignore…
 
How do you deal with someone so steeped in their bigotry?

If he upsets you, don’t watch him. Why allow him to have power over your peace of soul?

Bear those who wrong you patiently. If you need to take a break and get away from the folks who continually attack your faith, do so. Jesus told us it would be like this. Have you been scourged and crucified yet? Think of His sacrifice and it may help you to put everything into perspective.

Read Acts of the Apostles and pay close attention to what Peter and Paul do when they are verbally and physically attacked.

Hi, I don’t go on You-tube often, but I have seen videos where comments are not accepted. Do you have the option of closing your videos to comment?
