How do you evangelize people influenced by Zen or other Buddhist beliefs?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone who has knowledge of Buddhist beliefs and teachings, especially those of Zen, could give me advice or resources on how to evangelize those who are under the influence and assumptions of those teachings, and how they are opposed to Christian doctrine, and how to recognize when someone is thinking according to the axioms of Buddhism or Zen?

Please also pray to St. John the Baptist, patron saint of converts, for conversion of Buddhists and those who listen to Buddhist teachings more than those of Christ.

St. John the Baptist, pray for us!
Jesus and Mary, I love you, save souls!
Amen

Joshua

I’m no expert but it helps if you define what you mean by ‘influenced’. I can see that’s what you’re asking in the second question but there’s in fact a lot of wrong assumptions you can make.

Besides, not all Buddhist/Zen ideas are incompatible with Christianity.
