How do you explain the immortality for inverto fertilitization without using God?

Without God, there is no vice and no virtue- no objective right or wrong. Without God, we cannot argue right and wrong. Our individual perceptions of right and wrong come about because of God’s gift of intellect.

How you approach this depends on whom you are arguing against. What is “right” and what is “wrong” in their eyes? If they are relativists (a position that is contradictory in every possible way- If I believe that there is a universal truth that applies to everyone, while you believe whatever someone believes is true for them, am I correct, or are you?) the first goal is to give them the idea of an objective Truth. The parenthetical statement is some idea of what can be said- if I know you, you don’t need that, though!😛 😃 👍

Children are persons with inherent dignity. They are not commodities to be bought, sold, or manufactured. It is beneath our dignity to be manufactured in a laboratory. It reduces a person to a commodity to be bartered over-- look at how there are now lawsuits between spouses regarding who “owns” the embryos, etc. It is its own form of slavery-- ownership of a person and the idea that one has a “right” to produce a child to one’s specifications by any means available. We have no such right over another person.

It is also a violation of the dignity of the child when born of parents not their own. They have a natural right to a family consisting of their own mother and father. To see the harm in depriving a child of this witness all the groups that are searching for their “sperm donor” fathers or egg donor mother-- the quest to know “who they are” and “where they come from” is part of their human psyche. Children are harmed psychologically when they are produced in such a manner and deprived of this basic human right.
