How do you honour your father and mother when you father is always threatening to curse you??

My father sold his house and reckIessly spent the money , as a result we were chased out of various homes, my parents seperated and i still have debt from medical bills incurred after my mother had to have a hysterectomy for her fibroids …

My father is always demanding for money and threatens to curse me should i not meet his various demands which include hiring for him a house ( am a married mother of two and am already paying my mothers rent and helping out at home), paying school fees for my siblings and so on…

Am conflicted …what should i do ??
 
Dear friend,

Enabling our parents to behave badly is not honoring them—nor is it loving them. You need to say no to your father for his own good. Let him curse till he’s blue in the face, but don’t give him any more money. His curses have no power over one who puts God and the good of the innocent first. You are in our prayers.
