How do you keep Good Friday holy?

I’d say watching The Passion, but I think a penance is meant to be something you don’t enjoy (and it’s my favorite movie).

I actually don’t know. I was up until four this morning working on a paper. Does that count? 😋
 
Started the day with a morning prayer service followed by adoration. Plan to go to the Stations of the Cross this evening.
 
Live Stations of the Cross this afternoon, and communion this evening, Meanwhile trying to fit a Rosary in between caring for toddlers who are constantly getting into things. I hope it doesn’t rain so I can take the 5 year old to the Stations outside.

My elderly parents, God Bless them, baked the meat pies and the spaghetti pies. To borrow a line from Tom Petty “the waiting is the hardest part”.
 
This is my first Holy Week away from home. I managed to keep my fast and I also got to visit one of my favorite churches for some silent prayer and confession. I spent most of the day with my family. My mother is expected to pass away in the next couple days so we’ve been holding vigil around her bedside.
