We normally go to mass Saturday evening too as our Sunday transportation has is a little more difficult and walking from here to the church, while it’s a nice walk, just seems too much for my four year old. I don’t like to let her stay home from mass unless needed (say I were going to confession or she were sick or something of that nature.) So we go Saturdays and I too worried about Sundays.
Since she is four and not quite capable of finding her seat by herself again after the childrens liturgy she stays with me when the others go out. This upsets her but on Sundays, after lunch, we have “Sunday school” at home. We do the days readings either from her Young Catholics missal or if we can find it in one of her bible story books, from one of those. I print out the mass activities and colouring sheets from Catholic Moms and Catholic Icing. If Ewtn happens to play a New Testament cartoon that relates, we’ll often watch that or we might search out a clip on the Nest Learning website.

Sunday Scripture Study for Catholics and I often follow the links and reading he provides. I like to read the homilies for various priests and parishes too.
My daughter and I will watch a Veggietales movie or some other movie and we do a lot of regular reading. We like to hang out and “squid” as she says in the evenings.
Last week, we did our Sunday school (she learned about Divine Mercy, the prayer, about St. Faustina and about JPII, whom she is starting to cry over not getting to see anymore) and she and my mother took me out for my birthday. Tomorrow, we’ll do our Sunday school, some reading and celebrate Mother’s day with all the lovely mom’s in our family. Sunday school, we will used to celebrate our Blessed Mother

so lucky!
