Lea,
Have you heard of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy? It is more directive in that the counselor explains how the think; there is not so much focus on childhood, etc.

Also,if you were certified to help people, you could make money at your day job and help poor people as a volunteer, which would be very helpful for them.

As to writing, technical writing might be a possibility for you. I have No Idea how that works in Singapore!
I would def help as a volunteer if my income is stable enough!

I like writing essays, fiction, stuff like that. Technical writing isn’t really my thing  I was good enough in school to get an A, but I’m not sure whether I am in general compared to others, but i can’t help thinking that it’s sad to throw away something I liked since forever. I’ve always loved books and writing, etc. But I don’t know if i can abandon psychology as well

I’m still thinking of a way to merge these two without working 2 jobs

Psssssshhhhh lol:)

If not I would have to constantly study and worry about being the best so I would have some sort of hope that a university would want me!

That bs shaped me into a terrible terrible mess these past few years. Must be nice to get what you want easily tbh! Although some people take it for granted and start worshipping that instead
hardship and working for what you seek is character builiding and will equip you to be better and stronger at eg helping others. Like any other form of exercise!

I know. But it’s simply hard

My semester is about to end and from what I see (grades for some assignments), I’m getting Bs and no As. :crying:
(Not good enough for uni). Granted, I have 5 semesters to go but it’s hard to pull up a GPA to as close as a 4.0

Cumulative grades (gpa) can be a pain in the butt lol!

Hard is good. reminds me of a childhood hymn. " Not for ever by still waters, Do we ask our way to be, But the steep and rugged pathways, May I tread rejoicingly.",

Not getting into uni is not a disaster…

It’s nearly impossible to have a proper job with my diploma lol

And if I do, my salary would be around 1k/month
Psychology isn’t really a safe choice, I hate myself lol
