How do you know when to sit down after communion?

Yes of course but that one is less likely unless one is say in the back of the Church etc 😉
I usually sit in the second or third pew and if the choir is singing something I can sing, I’ll stand and sing until they go to receive and then I sit. Otherwise I knell until everyone has received. Standing is still the default, with kneeling or sitting as options.

Yes. I was taught that we kneel as long as the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. Once it has been reserved, we sit.

God Bless
I concur. Actually in my parish they have a habit that gets on my nerves to no end, and I mentioned it in a survey we recently completed. Everyone kneels after the Agnus Dei, but when the EMHCs and the priest come forward to distribute HC, everyone, and I mean everyone, sits until it’s they’re turn to get up.

Like I said, I mentioned it in the survey I filled out at last week and said “I personally am embarrassed if we have visitors because it feels irreverent.” I’ve been to several different parishes in my life and this is the only one I’ve ever seen this practiced.

In their defense though, they do kneel until Father is done purifying (and he’s typically put the Host back in the Tabernacle) and sits down. My congregation is weird I guess.
