How do you know when you have committed a mortal sin?

I have done some things that could be considered a mortal sin(I am not even 100% certain if they are mortal sins), but I cannot come to the idea of losing grace needed for Salvation. How are we to know when we are not in the state of grace?

I know the act must be grave matter, and one must have sufficient reflection and knowledge of the act, but how do we know when we are not in the state of grace?

Hey,

Ask a priest. You can ask me. Once you know an act is a mortal sin, then it is a sin for you if you commit it in the future. Also, deliberately keeping onself in the dark so that one can act on ignorance is a mortal sin. You do need to know the moral severity of the act. So you do need to find out.
