You can just try clicking off. Once you click off, you will be automatically logged off.

True story.
I was researching Transubstantiation and Google landed me in a post. Tried leaving, but I kept being thrown back into a post or on a screen which said Register or Else. Screaming did not work. After 40 days and 40 nights (slight exaggeration) weakened with hunger, I tried the registration bit. Surrendered my name and secret handshake and here I am – all yours.
I do have to admit that truthfully, I really could not figure out how to exit until I became a member.

Logging into CAF leaves an indelible mark upon its victim’s soul. You cannot simply “log out” and then “re-log” yourself. There are Jesuit CAF agents that will track you down. Why do you think they’re always appealing for more money? Do you think they really spend $2000 on a new office router?

I’m certainly not a techie, but it could be a conflict in the local cache. You could try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the screen. That should bring up the log-in page. Then just log-in again. It might not do anything, but then again it won’t be harmful.Why can’t I log out? “My Accounts” says I am not logged in, but I clearly am because I can post.
