Is there a concept addressing fear of God, that is awe, in terms similar to scrupulosity in reference to repentance for sin? Love of God need not be so complicated and judging even yourself, of course not your actions but your holiness, is above your pay grade.
All the advice on seeing Christ in even your enemy and loving neighbors is proper. Open yourself to The Holy Spirit allowing God to enflame your heart. A relationship with God is with Father, Son and Spirit. This Sunday’s Readings call us to listen for the still, small voice. Take this as the advice you need.
The Divine Mercy may help your faith to bring you to a renewed love of God. Do what He says and as He instructed Saint Faustina, Trust in Jesus.
