How do you not Associate with evildoers but love them

how do you not associate with evil doers yet love them when you see them and treat them as your neighbour and such, on the one hand jesus says to not associate with them, for your own good, yet on the other hand he sayss love your neighbour, so which ones which and what is the proper catholic formula

Loving someone doesn’t mean we have to be near them or see them. There are people in the past who have caused me hurt or pain. I just love them from a distance. I make a choice to not associate with them. Forgive, yes…associate, no.

That’s pretty much what I do as well.
