This was interesting to me. When I was in 5th grade, my teacher asked us, "If Jesus walked into the classroom right now, how do you think he would look? And of course many of us said he would have long brown hair, with a white robe, with sandels(SP?). Then my teacher said, well I think he would have short hair, blue Jeans, and a t-shirt with tennis shoes on. So my question is, if Jesus walked into the room you are in right now, how do you think he would look?

Someone once told me that when we meet Jesus, it will be a moment of recognition - aha! - I’ve known You all along. That really resonated with me, and until then, I don’t think I’ll be able to describe what He would be like, but I’ll know Him when I see Him.

if we recall His words, ‘as you did to the least of your brothers, you did to me,’ we can appreciate that He has walked into the room. He looks most like the person i like least. He looks like the stranger i see on the street and moreso like my worst enemy.
recently columbian (mag for knights of columbus) used a collage of faces to create the face of Jesus to illustrate this.
and aByzantineCatho, icons should not be construed as photographs, they capture the whole of the person, not just their physical image. i would have expected you to have known that.
thanks for listening, love and peace, terry

Funky,

Actually, the Icon of Christ was taken from the image on Veronica’s veil.

God Bless!
