Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you could offer some examples of ways that you practice the virtues on a daily basis. Also could you recommend some books on this topic?

Thanks so much!

You can go online and find some of the intellectual difinitions and discourses about the virtues. It isn’t easy to practice the virtues. I think if you approach one virtue at a time and meditate on it, and then try to make it part of your daily routine, you will do well. I don’t know if I would call it a “practice,” but a way of life. If you can master all the virtues you will be doing better than most of us. Let me know how it goes for you and then send me your “secret formula” so I can bottle it, keep it and drink it in. Peace and prayers.

I concentrate on the virtue of patience every day in marriage. Strangely so does my wife. LOL
I would have thought that living as good a life as you can in this vale of tears would be good enough practice for anyone. I find it very hard at the best of days. There are always more people to condemn, ignore, get irritated with, than I can normally handle. Then there is the family! And don’t get me started on my sister and her waste of space husband.
I am starting to have vacillating feelings about my dog…
Prayer, patience and a complete understand of self adds up to humility. From humility comes peace of mind. Love has to be squeezed out like the last of the toothpaste, but there are traces still in the old soul.
