How do *you* pray the Rosary?

A question of curiosity: How do you pray the Rosary?

After each decade, I say the Glory Be, The Fatima prayer, and the Miraculous Medal prayer. (I think I picked up the latter by praying along with the Lourdes rosary on EWTN.)

If I have a lot of intentions on a particular day, I dedicate a bead to a person or situation.

What do you do?

I have the Relevant Radio skill on my Echo. I follow along with it every day. They pray each decade and then the Glory Be and the Fatima prayer.
 
Dominican style opening
Conclude decade with the Glory Be and onto the next one
Salve Regina, V&R, Collect, and short litany

I may offer an entire rosary for a specific intention or multiple intentions. Sometimes there’s no specific intention other than to explore the fruits of the mysteries.

Father, I’ve gotten various answers to this question, so I’m going to ask you. I can never remember all the mysteries and when I meditate on them, I spend a good portion of my time looking them up rather than praying. Is it ok to just pray the beads without meditating? Frankly, I don’t think God would mind.
 
One of the keys to remembering the mysteries (other than rote memorization) is to remember the arcs of each set of mysteries. The Joyful are the mysteries of Jesus’ birth and childhood. The Luminous are Jesus’ ministry. The Sorrowful are Jesus’ passion and death. The Glorious are about the risen Christ. Remembering which arc you’re following should help remember the specific mysteries.

And I’m not a priest, but the mysteries are what makes the Rosary the Rosary. It’s not wrong to just pray the prayers, but you’re missing out on the full beauty of the Rosary.

That is very helpful. At times, if I can’t say the Rosary at full meditation, I still seek to say the full Rosary even with distractions and ask in mercy that it is accepted still. Hopefully, the logic prevails that it is better than not saying it at all.
 
Almost everyday I do a “short form” Rosary type devotion as part of my daily prayers. It contains both prayers in a traditional Rosary and other prayers, but it is much shorter than a full Rosary, and I go through it with my daily prayers. A private devotion.

Many of my daily prayers are self composed, although I often say the Lord’s Prayer along with them. It is just the perfect prayer. It covers all of your bases.
 
Basically, what I do is the regular Rosary. I like to pray with the senses, imagining myself in the scene; and react to it as if I was there. Reflecting on it all the while. It’s hard for me to stay focused though. When I drift off; I return to the scene. As for my petitions: I start off with being thankful for a lot of things and offering up this Rosary for X petitions.
 
I exchanged the rosary my friend brought me back from the Holy Land with another one she brought back. In fact, I already have one or two others…it ha 7 or 8 mm olive wooden beads with a wooden cross that is stamped with Jerusalem on it.

It doesn’t have a centerpiece so how do I pray the Hail Holy Queen?

I’m typically a slow Rosary pray-er. I meditate a lot on the mysteries and often pause to meditate. I also keep it simple by always offering to the Blessed Mother for her intentions. I figure she knows best.
 
When we do the best we can the Lord is very pleased with our prayer!

I like doing the Scriptural Rosary that has a line of scripture appropriate to the mystery before each Hail Mary. They can be found on line and printed out, although I have the Scriptural Rosary book.

I offer it up to Our Blessed Mother for wherever she wants to use the prayers, and then trust that she will answer my personal prayers as well.

Just pray it! When you’re finished your last decade pray it. Sometimes, I’ll pray the rosary in the car counting on my fingers instead of beads. No beads, no Marian medal, just the tools God gave me. It still counts.
 
The point of repeating the prayers is to give our minds something to do as we consider the mysteries. That said, we don’t have to be really good at it right away. Pray the rosary as best you can. Better you pray it badly than not at all. I usually announce the mystery, then start to zone out as I say the prayers. Sometimes I can focus on the mystery, sometimes not as much. Do what you can, and work upward from there.

I read Biblical verses between each mystery, specific verses where the mystery takes place so that myself (or when I’m running my group rosary) or others can understand, contemplate, and meditate better
 
I informally mention my intentions after the introductory prayers (Creed, Our Father, 3 Hail Mary, Glory Be). It’s usually along the lines of “Sweet Mother, I hope to obtain these favors in this Rosary (make request). Bring my requests before the throne of God that He may hear and answer them.” Or: “Dear Lord, I offer this Rosary through the Immaculate Heart of Mary for (mention request here). Amen.”
Other than that, I follow the standard formula: Announce mystery, Our Father, 10 hail mary’s, glory be, Fatima prayer. And the end: Hail Holy Queen followed by the concluding prayer.
