In another poll, some pointed that it may be more hygienic to use the method of intinction to distribute the Precious Blood. Which method do you prefer?

Neither option, I’m Greek Catholic and we receive it with a spoon.
Self-intinction isn’t allowed. However, it is permissible for the priest (and I’d have to look up re: deacon) to intinct. (Of course, one then only receives on the tongue, not in the hand for obvious reasons.)I didn’t think intinction was allowed. At least not in any of the parishes in my Diocese. I thought intinction was a Methodist thing.
True enough. I find it strange to see a few people in our parish receive kneeling and on the tongue, genuflect to the empty tabernacle when returning to their pews but then totally ignore the Precious Blood when they pass in front of the EMHC holding the chalice.I personally question the wisdom of offering the cup at all, when so many walk past Christ under the form of the precious blood as though he were a stranger in the street.
.
Before converting to Catholicism in 1991 I was a born and brought up Methodist and I never experienced intinction.I didn’t think intinction was allowed. At least not in any of the parishes in my Diocese. I thought intinction was a Methodist thing.
You’re right, I find myself doing this. I try to remember to bow, but it is just not part of my ingrained habit.True enough. I find it strange to see a few people in our parish receive kneeling and on the tongue, genuflect to the empty tabernacle when returning to their pews but then totally ignore the Precious Blood when they pass in front of the EMHC holding the chalice.
I was also a Methodist for a few years before converting to Catholicism in 1997. Intinction was the norm at the church I attendedBefore converting to Catholicism in 1991 I was a born and brought up Methodist and I never experienced intinction.
