First, you have to make sure they are accurately representing what actually happened. An example, there are claims that millions were killed in the Inquisition, when the actual number is under 4,000 (over 4 centuries, or about 10/year).

Not to be argumentative but I remember listening to the BBC early one morning and when the Vatican-I think-came out with that number they-the BBC-did some investigating and found the number to be higher. I don’t remember what the exact number was or is but there you go. Again, I’m not doing this to be argumentative.
