Science guy here. Maybe it’s like cruise control. God is still in the driver’s seat and he’s always making small steering corrections until his full attention is required at the next traffic jam
Respectful agree with…Time …to everything there is a season…Peace

What is there to “deal” with? You already said the 7 days were metaphorical.

If you assert nothing that is disprovable by science, then science has no comment.

The Bible is not a science book
Respectfully opinion only the Bible is not a science book…not just a book of Science is it?..🤔
But the Bible is like a…Library… filled with many different … Books within?..
Many Books found within … the Bible also? 🤔
Book of Recorded History?
Book of Science?
Book of Medicine, herbs, surgery, diseases, leprosy, etc?
Book of Poetry?
Book of Songs?
Book of many different Cultures?
Book of different Beliefs? Rituals? gods?
Book of Kings?
Book of Prophets?
Book of Judges?
Book of different Nations?
Book of Wars?
Book of Laws?
Book of Priestly Laws?
Book of Proverbs?
Book of Wisdom?
Book of Math?
Book of Science?
Book of Geography?
Book of Architecture?
Bible is like a library filled with many books within, Bible is filled with much Knowledge on array of different subjects, different topics, different developments, genealogies, different philosophies, etc…Peace

Yes it is.

However, as Catholics, we are not Sola Scriptura folks and the Bible while considered holy and inspired is not the pillar and foundation of truth. It is the Church.

To be frank, Sola Scriptura is a misuse of the Bible.

The Big Bang, or “cosmic egg hypothesis”, was originally formulated by Monsignor Lemaitre.

I am talking about the Sabbath. How you science guys think about the rest of God. When God created man and woman He rested. What exactly is a rest? I mean, creation didnt exactly stop. Creation is an ongoing process but still there was a rest on the 7th day.
What would a rest or Sabbath be? How do you science guy look at this?
I’m not sure why this is a question for “science guy.” I have a couple degrees in engineering and I see no trouble with this passage. God had just created the most incredible work of art ever created: everything. So He sat back and enjoyed his handiwork for a little while. I fail to see how this is challenging. If I painted an absolute masterpiece, I would definitely take a few minutes to sit and enjoy my handiwork, and that handiwork would be such an incredibly pathetic work compared to the grandeur of everything. God delights in Himself and in His creation, and He took some time to sit back and do so.

Yes, I do know. He published his paper Un Univers homogène de masse constante et de rayon croissant rendant compte de la vitesse radiale des nébuleuses extragalactiques in April 1927 in issue 49 of volume 47 of Annales de la Société Scientifique de Bruxelles.
