Well today, I finally managed to get up from my desk and make my way to the Cathedral which is a couple of blocks from my work. I went to the lunch hour mass and it was awesome. I ate my lunch at my desk when I got back.

A great start to the week.

God bless.

A lunch HOUR? That’s a luxury I can only imagine. As a teacher, we have about 30 minutes for lunch, but 15 of my 30 is spent every day on playground duty.

However, 3 days a week, there is a 6:30 am Mass about 5 minutes away, and it is definitely an awesome way to start the day! I started going during Lent a couple of years ago, and I’ve not been able to give it up. I miss it when I’m not able to go and notice the subtle difference in my life. I think Daily Mass is a well-kept secret, and I’m blessed to have discovered it.

I rush to the break room, sip a coke & read the newspaper then it’s back to work. We get 1/2 hour:( If you do not brown bag, you do not have time to eat at all  The closest lunch counter is 2 miles away. You have to eat in your car on the way back.

I did the same thing, I walked to the Cathedral. 🙂
Could it be the same one we attended?

are you from Austin, TX?

I leave and eat out because if I eat in I eat too fast for health, usually at my desk, and don’t take a real break. If I go out I can eat properly, take a walk, spend time in the chapel, and have a real break.

Eating and working at the same time. Security guards don’t get lunch off.
