How do you take communion unworthy?

What did saint Paul mean?

As there was no mortal sin or veniel sin back then??
 
🤣 “sin” wasn’t invented. IT has been with us since the fall of Adam.
To receive unworthily is to approach and receive the Eucharist with hate in your heart, a mortal sin on your soul, and failure to approach out of a desire to be united with Christ.
How can we commune with someone when have separated ourselves (mortally) from Him?
