I am interested in becoming catholic. I believe in God but I am having a hard time believing the Bible. I feel like I have been called to the Prolife movement and possibly the church but I am having a very hard time believing.

God works in mysterious ways, He is amazing and will faithful to complete the work he has begun in you. Just tell him, ‘God i believe you are out there, but help my unbelief, and show me how to believe.’ He will :extrahappy::byzsoc: praying for you on your journey!

Then just Love Him, tell Him you love Him even though you may not understand. Only the Lord Jesus can give you the right way to the Father, only the Holy Spirit can lead you to Jesus only Jesus can lead ou to the Father.

It takes time and you may want to pray about it. 🙂

I think the first thing you need is Faith. If you believe in God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), then you’d like to know what did Jesus do on Earth, which is written the books of the Gospel (Mark, Matthew, Luke and John) and the acts of the Holy Spirit in the Acts of the Apostles & St. Paul’s Epistles.

Well, it takes time, just be patient and don’t give up easily.
 
What is it that causes you to have difficulty believing the Bible? Do you have difficulty in understanding it? First, pray for the grace to believe it and understand it. I would also recommend you get books *about *the Bible – books that examine the internal and external evidence for the truth of the Bible. Check out the Catholic Answers book store because I’m sure they would have books on that subject. Also check out Ignatius Press (www.ignatius.com) I’ll be praying for you – if you’re being called to church and to the pro-life movement, the Holy Spirit is working in your heart!

may take a while but you are well on the road by embracing those most loved by Jesus, the unborn and those who have no voice or standing in our world.

since you say you have trouble with the bible, have you actually read it? that is read it in the Spirit in which it was written? for that you need some guidance, and if you do decide to partake in an RCIA program in a Catholic parish, you will begin each session with an encounter with Jesus Christ in the Gospels, the most essential and holiest books of the Bible. Through knowledge of the gospel you will learn how to approach all other scripture.

Before you can believe you have to hear and read, and to hear and read you need to go to the place where those who are proclaiming and teaching have authority from Christ to proclaim and teach the truth. That would be the Catholic Church, so your next step is to make the call, or approach a Catholic you know and admire, possibly a colleague in the Pro-Life movement.

for that matter, you can and should certainly continue your Pro-Life witness and work whether or not you ever become Catholic, because that is the normative position for anyone of any faith or no faith who embraces the US Constitution and who embraces a culture of life vs. a culture of death.
