How does a parent handle a child who is cohabiting?

Hello, my son who has fallen away from the Catholic faith for many years is moving in with his girlfriend very soon. I have told him how I feel about the situation and that he should be married and not living together. I love my son very much but what are my actions to be towards him, do I visit him at his apartment, go for dinner if asked?
