How does a seminarian assist Mass in choro

I occasionally visit the EF parish in my diocese when I have the time. Now, I have received my cassock and wondered how does a seminarian assist In Choro?

What does he do? Does he go with the procession? It’s celebrated in a small chapel by the way
 
Somewhere between the authority of your seminary and the authority of your bishop, that may be answered.

We have a seminarian in our parish who already has his BA, but is working on philosophy. I don’t know whether it is the seminary or the bishop, but he is to be in “street clothes” when he is off campus. He has severed Mass when at home, and dresses as the other servers for that.
