How does an EMHC give Communion to a sick priest?

How does an EMHC give Communion to a priest in hospital? He is not bedridden. He is in the hospital for minor surgery.
 
Priests can self-communicate, and it is more fitting for them to do so than to receive Communion from a layperson. Rather than hold up Communion for the priest and hand the host to him, offer to him the opened pyx in a reverent manner. He can then remove the host himself and place it on his own tongue.
