How does God view the US as a whole?

I was not sure what board to put this on, this one seemed like the best choice to me, but feel free to move if another board is better.

I have wondered about this for awhile, and read lots of theories on America being possibly referred to in the bible metaphorically or symbolically, but some of them are pretty bizarre, hard to tell, some seem right on the money but others are more of a stretch.

It does seem likely such an important nation as the US would be at least mentioned somewhere in the bible, to some degree one way or another, I mean, look at how influential and powerful this nation is, it would be highly strange if the bible did not refer or mention it imo.(especially in regards to end times stuff), Id have to imagine the US will play a HUGE part in whatever happens during this time.

Just curious what everyone thinks about this and some examples of biblical references you can think of that seem to point to this nation.

There is nothing and why should there be?? Its irrelevant.
 
Then there should also be references to England as a major superpower and world leader pretty much from say 1100 to 1945ish…and to some extent even up to today. What about Russia? Could China be mentioned? They certainly have done many great things, some good, some bad. Why not mention France who led the world for centuries and is considered the eldest daughter of the Church?

Anyway, I’m not sure, but I’d venture to say that we are not mentioned because it is not needed for the salvation of mankind. We have the fullness of truth, everything we need to be saved, if it’s not in there/part of sacred tradition then it isn’t needed to get home.

Home, which brings up another point, I may be a father, a husband, a son, a Marine, an American, but all these things are simply passing, in reality I am a citizen of heaven, trying to get home…

As to how God views America, the same as every other country, with love, compassion and absolutely Divine Mercy.
 
Fr. Ripperger mentioned in one of his talks, that well the US has it’s greatest grave sin overall is Avarice. (I thought he was going to say something else.)

Now, that isn’t necessarily answering your question directly, but it does help me keep my eyes open to what our American Culture is leaning towards.

No matter which Deadly sin our Country seems to cuddle up with the most, we are in dire need of Fasting, Praying, Reparation and Penance. People too quickly forget how much we need God as a country to direct our steps, and major decisions. Not an endorsement of making this country a theocracy, but that the people should chose to be good and not evil. We get the leaders and laws and lack of laws by our own actions.
 
Devil’s playground. Looking at the politics lately…gotta admit the devil is real smart.

But there are plenty of countries who is experiencing great evil, just in different ways. God doesn’t judge on a bell curve, so I don’t think the US is a “special” country that is included in scripture.

Yes, we definitely need all that you mentioned in your first sentence! I am hoping and praying that the 100 years Centennial of Fatima will impress that on many.
 
Johnathon cahn is a Jewish Rabbi christian. The God has raised up as a prophetic voice.

And as he has taught that Donald trump was put into power by the support of 81% of Christians. And the demonacrat progressive is the Antichrist agenda and the devil. It is amazing the number of prophets the said God was choosing Donald trump.

And many people can not recognize a prophetic event in America.
And the people like Johnathon cahn.

This is what wrong teaching is like in many churches.
Spiritually blind is common

Um, the US didn’t exist as a nation until about 1,500 years after the Bible had been compiled, let alone written.

Not to mention Thessalonians and Daniel reference the future, We also know Russia and its state seemed to be pretty important to Mary, enough to specifically mention them, why would the US be exempt, everything that goes on and really originates here and spreads to the rest of the world, and yet not a word about us…IDK?
 
I think the closest you get is Scripture verses like:

‘For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears’

Perhaps it would be better to focus on the Holy Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church than on the utterances of a man.

Well, those sources also warn of times just like we are living in now, also warn of mass deceptions, people not being able to recognize good from evil, etc. Seems spot on imo.

If you look back to biblical times, the guys who most considered to be wrong, eventually turned out to be correct, I think the same will happen again, the majority will get it wrong, only a few will see whats really going on.
 
I find the teaching that I receive from the Magesterium of the Church sound and prefer to concern myself with that. Holy Mother Church has never steered me wrong.
 
This is not meant to be snarky, but how in the world could anyone possibly know what God thinks of the US? We only know what is revealed to us in Scripture and Tradition, and the US was not around then. We only know what God has revealed in His Word about sin and virtue, and what pleases Him and what doesn’t, but we cannot suppose to know the mind of God in anything He has not revealed.

That is why it seems to be a question that does not make sense to ask, and it really is irrelevant, because humans cannot know the mind of God except what He has already revealed.

The best thing we can do is live according to His Word and spread the Gospel so others may know how we are to live in a way that is pleasing to God. And the more people that live like this, the better off any country will be.

well, we know Russia was important enough to Mary and it being consecrated, so its only logical a more hedonistic nation would be equally or more important.
