How does Mother Mary magnify God? Can you please explain.

Also, how about me, an ordinary Catholic, what can I do so that I will also magnify God too.

Thanks for any help!

She honors and magnifies God by always and perfectly doing His will, and by loving Him above all things.

One way we can do the same is to bear our little crosses with great love for God, knowing that they are permitted by Him for His own holy purposes.

The current English of the Liturgy of the Hours can give us some insight.

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.”

That’s a most appropriate and precise definition of “magnify”; to make big, or to point out greatness. Mary, in the immediate context, was magnifying God right then and there: by praising him for the great things he has done for her.

You magnify God by giving him the praise and glory for all that he is and for what he has done for you in your life. You magnify him by bearing good witness to him in the way you live, the way you love others, and the way you praise God in your regular prayer.

Thanks… this explanation is very clear, is in perfect conformity with Church teaching and is in perfect alignment with common sense.!!
