If an action is opposed to natural law, does that make the action objectively sinful? What does ‘natural law’ mean anyway? What about when a person tries to circumvent natural consequences of an action, is that in opposition to natural law? Are there ever any so-called grey areas?

I suggest the book 50 Questions On The Natural Law by Charles E Rice

I always wonder why “natural law”, if it’s natural, logical, and reasonable, is so hard to explain to those who struggle with the moral teaching of the Church?
