I’ve seen several and voted in them but have no idea how to create one myself.

@ratio1 will be able to let you in on the secret. He’s our in-house poll specialist.

  1. In your post, click the options button and then build poll.
  2. If you need detailed instructions, message @discobot and start advanced user tutorial.

I finally figured it out, but the discobot advice was not very well explained.

Hi @CelticWarlord,

I think that the discobot help for the tutorial works the best when you use the PM system for the forum, and use the tutorial that way, in a back and forth reply with discobot.

When you call on discobot for help through your PM, he will bring up his display help options, and will bring up the tutorial options, too. All that you have to do is to type in either name of either tutorial, and he will start either one. Just remember to keep replying to him. If you don’t answer after awhile, he will come back and ask if you’re still there.

Sometimes it would take me a little while to complete some of the answers–that’s how I know! LOL! 😁 😉

When you use your PM system to do that, you’ll get a certificate of completion for each tutorial when you finish them, and also a badge for each tutorial after completing each one.

There is a new user tutorial, and also an advanced user tutorial. The advanced user tutorial shows us how to use the poll feature.

As you figured out, the poll feature can be found inside of our Reply box, by using the icon that is all of the way to the right end, at the top of the icons that are listed.

It is called the “Options” icon, and it looks like a gear.

When you click on the gear icon, you get a small drop-down menu, and as one of the selections that you’ll see, is one where you can choose to start a poll on the forum.

You have the ability to fill in choices for your poll, as to how you want to personalize it and set it up there.
