At age twelve I realized that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are not real, but my strict, Catholic parents refused to believe that a decent human being such as myself could be anything but Catholic, and so they forced me to get confirmed when I was fourteen, and have continued to insist in the last decade since I renounced the church that I’m wrong about what I think and feel. I have never considered my confirmation to be valid, but I would very much like to have it dissolved if possible. Is there any way to retract a confirmation?
