How does one wear a brown scapular?

Is it appropriate to pin the brown scapular to clothing, or does it have to be worn around the neck to get the benefits of the promise of the brown scapular?

To participate in the devotion of the brown scapular, one simply must wear it. So long as it is done with the reverence due a devotional, it is not specified by the Church how one must wear it or any other sacramental.
