How does sin affect apostolic succession?

Given that there have been priest who have face corruption and sin, does it affect apostolic succession? does it make there passing down invalid?
 
Peter denied Christ 3 times at the time of His death, and yet remained as the Supreme Pontiff of the Church.

Sin, while never good, does not have an effect on Petrine or Apostolic succession.
 
The personal sins of any Clergy do not effect the validity of the Sacraments. If you go to a Mass where the Celebrant is in a state of sin, it has no effect on you. The Host is still validly Consecrated. The Mass is still valid. Same for the other Sacraments. If you find out the Priest who Baptized your child was actually a serial killer, the child was still Baptized. I assume the same goes for the Sacrament of Holy Orders.

This is one of the oldest questions in Christian history.

But it has been settled.

Apostolic Succession and the efficacy of the sacraments are not dependent on the holiness of the priest or presider. And thank God that is the reality! If sinners couldn’t administer the sacraments, then I’d guess we’d never have the sacraments!

Sin had no effect on apostolic succession whatsoever.
